For beginners and beyond... Piece by Piece Class Q & A:.

How do I register for classes?

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and requires full payment to secure your spot. You can register in person at the shop or over the phone. If the class you are interested in is full, we’ll keep a waiting list in case there are cancellations.

How many people will be in each class?

The minimum class size is 3 and the maximum varies somewhere between 6 and 12. Each teacher sets the maximum based on class objectives.

What do I need to bring to the class?

Shortly after you register for a class you will get a supply list specific to the class. For classes that require a sewing machine, you will be asked to bring a machine in good working order that you are familiar with. Most people find it easier to learn and practice something new on a machine they know. There is a machine at the shop available for people who can’t provide their own, just let us know when you register if you need to use it. Some classes require the purchase of a book or pattern. This is necessary in order to comply with copyright laws.

What if I don’t know if I am at the right skill level for the class?

The teacher will be happy to talk to you about your questions or concerns to help you decide if the class is right for you.

What about cancellations?

If we have to cancel a class due to low enrollment, we will do so a week in advance and you will receive a full refund. If you need to cancel a class, refunds will be given if you give at least 7 days notice.

What else do I need to know?

When you enroll in a class you will receive a coupon for one 10% off shopping day that is valid for one month.

For everyone’s comfort, the classroom is a fragrance free zone and cell phone use is discouraged.
