FAQ's

How do I register for classes?

You can register in person at the shop or over the phone.   Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and requires full payment to secure your spot.  If the class you are interested in is full, we’ll keep a waiting list in case there are cancellations.

What if don’t know if I am at the right skill level for the class?

The teacher will be happy to talk to you about your questions or concerns to help you decide if the class is right for you.

What do I need to bring to the class?

You will get a supply list when you register for a class.  For classes that require a sewing machine, you will be asked to bring a machine in good working order that you are familiar with.  Most people find it easier to learn and practice something new on a machine they know.  There are a couple of machines at the shop available for people who can't provide their own, just let us know when you register if you need to use one.  Some classes require the purchase of a book or pattern which is necessary in order to comply with copyright laws.

How many people will be in each class?

The minimum class size is 3 and the maximum varies somewhere between 6 and 12.  Each teacher sets the maximum based on class objectives.

What about cancellations?

If we have to cancel a class, we will do so a week in advance and you will receive a full refund.

If you need to cancel a class, refunds will be given if you give at least 7 days notice.

What else do I need to know?
When you enroll in a class you will receive a coupon for one 10% off shopping day that is valid until the day of the class.

For everyone's comfort, the classroom is a fragrance free zone and cell phone use is discouraged during class time.
